Science – Egg Shell test

Science – Egg Shell test Children looked at egg shells submerged in different liquids and they had to predict which egg shell damaged the most. The egg shells were used to represent teeth. Most children predicted that coke caused the most damage which in fact vinegar caused the most damage. They observed the egg shell over a period of one week and recorded their findings.

Alexandra Palace talks about the History of the BAFTA

Alexandra Palace talks about the History of the BAFTA Owl class experienced the history of the BAFTA. The whole event was spectacular! The props were amazing and it was great that the process of making them were explained in detail. There was a creature design task and some questioning rounds which were excellent and gave some children the opportunity to ask pertinent questions. All the children were engaged and fed back saying that they found the whole experience ‘inspiring’ – enough so that some wouldn’t mind...

Science – Teeth testing task Children had a selection of food to predict what main set of teeth they would use to eat these foods. Children were able to identify all the different types of teeth they used – a combination of incisors, canines, pre-molars or molars.

GYGUGD Healthy Living

GYGUGD Healthy Living Children discussed what a balance diet looks like and how it’s important to stay healthy and fit in order for our body to function properly and fight off illness. Children created a Human Pyramid independently and completed a healthy diet pyramid sheet stating what they rarely, sometimes and often eat.

British Museum Trip

British Museum Trip Owl class enjoyed their visit to the British Museum. They were able to explore the artefacts of the Roman Times and did so by completing various worksheets and carrying specific drawings. What good fun and learning had by all!!
