Map Skills

Map Skills Garnet class were taught how to read ordnance maps, they were able to navigate the map using the co-ordinates and use the index to locate towns & cities in an atlas.

Philosophy for Children Garnet class always enjoyed their sessions with Mr Harvey. These sessions enabled the children to make informed decisions on many aspects of life. They also learnt how to participate in debates and that having their own opinion ( different from other’s) is good.

Tottenham Festival

Tottenham Festival We went to St Anne’s Church to watch The Tottenham Festival. The performances were amazing and the children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.  We were lucky enough to speak to our local police, ask any questions, try on equipment and jump in a police truck.

Haringey Young Carers workshop

Haringey Young Carers Workshop Garnet class took part in Haringey’s Young Carers workshop. Ms Morgan ( a representative from Haringey) came in to discuss what it means to be a young carer and to inform the children of the support available. A very informative and emotional session. They children role-played different scenarios during the session.

Chessington World of Adventures Our end of year trip was full of fun, sun and wet clothes! The children thoroughly loved every minute of this trip. They were brave to take on some of the highest and scariest of rides, some children were drenched in water, but we were lucky to have had a beautiful sunny day to dry quickly!

Making 3D shapes Garnet class were making 3D shapes using straws and play-dough. The children were investigating the amount of straws needed to make each shape.

Our butterflies As part or our science topic ‘All living things’ this half term,  we were given caterpillars. The children were very excited to watch, first hand, the stages of metamorphosis. We now have 10 butterflies ready to be set free.
